		<description>UCI was doing some research into that about five years ago, but was abandoned by the professor when the AI department became the bioinformatics department (he left to become a full-time neuroscience professor in the bio department).  Effectively, it converts a manifold-separable space (like that produced by a neural net) into a hierarchy of separable spaces. It's not a new concept.</description>
