Unfortunate choice by the iTMS people

So earlier tonight I happened to get my semi-bi-annual weekly email from the iTunes Music Store extolling the virtues of FREE video downloads & previews along with other new video content in the store. Some of the new content I couldn’t help but noticing was Sleeper Cell. Unfortunately for Apple they chose to highlight an episode of Sleeper Cell which is actually titled “Family”. See Exhibit A:

iTMS Item A

Now of course, anyone who doesn’t know what the show Sleeper Cell is about is going to be in for a rude awakening if they think that Apple means Sleeper Cell is a “family” oriented show boy will they be in for a rude awakening. See Exhibits B,C,D:

iTMS Item B
iTMS Item C

This last little bit comes from one of the two topmost customer reviews of the show:

iTMS Item D
Now don’t get me wrong here, I think Sleeper Cell was an excellent show! I’m happy that Apple has 6 of the 10 episodes of the mini-series on iTMS. I just wish that whomever at Apple creates these weekly email blurbs would have thought a little bit about the name of the episode they were linking to within the email. It could be confusing to folks. Also, if you haven’t seen Sleeper Cell yet you should do yourself a favor and watch it, it really does make 24 look like kids playing patty-cake in the sandbox.
