What the hell? at Daniel Spisak on Technology

So I’m doing WebReg for winter quarter at UCI and I try to register for ICS 51 which is not full at the moment and the system says I dont have a prerequisite for the class? Yet I was told I had ICS 21, Math 6A/6B transfer credit? Plus I passed ICS 23 this summer at UCI. Yet, if I try to register for ICS 52 which has stronger prerequisites it allows me to register for the class? What the hell?

The other annoying thing is that my ICS transfer advisor, Kurt Hessinger is no longer at UCI as of today. I really liked the guy and he was helpful as all hell, dont get me wrong! But after using the UCI DegreeAudit script ont heir site it looks like a lot of credit for classes I was told I was going to get didn’t happen or hasn’t been put into the system? So now I have to go march into the ICS office and find out A) Who my new advisor is B) What the hell happened to certain credits for transfer classes C) What the hell classes to take this quarter. No way in hell I am going to take ICS 51, ICS 52 and Math 6C all at the same time. I’m not looking for a nervous breakdown. Likely it will be ICS 51 and Math 6C but I need to figure out my third class…some kind of breadth non major requirement I need. *sigh* And I thought I was done with all that crap from all the classes I took at UCSC. I have 153 units so far! That makes me like a senior or some crazy crap like that, yet I’m doing lower division classes? Its crazy.
