So, about that election we had here in Kal-ee-forn-ya

My mom pointed this out to me today from the OC Register:

“I hate to sound like sour grapes, but I believe that if the average California voter had his butt on fire, he could be convinced by a TV commercial that it wasnt in his best interest to put it out!”

Man, that really sums up how I feel about the results on this election.

Yeah, everybody thinks they’re the only ones who can’t be swayed by the media. Because Fox News told them so.

I don’t watch TV really though anymore since I download my shows via Bittorrent and watch them on my computer. However reading the text of the propisitions themseleves can be rather tedious. In the end however a lot of the information I did find out there was highly polarized, it was all either “This is BAD! BADDDD! NONONONONO!” or “This may help the state”. No “Well it might be a tradeoff” kind of opinions really. I’m just annoyed at how the people voted really. The only good thing to come out of this I guess was that Prop 73 didnt pass. I’m not a big fan of laws that try to dictate parenting, especially when involving abortion.

If the best thing the SUPPORTERS of a proposition can tell me is that it’s a tradeoff, you’re goddamn right I’m voting no.
